Kundol Lake, also known as Kundol Dand, is a lake in Swat Valley, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, which is located in the north of Utror valley at a distance of 20.8 kilometers from Kalam.
Kundol Lake lies inside the lap of the Hindu Kush mountains at an elevation of 9,950 ft, in the north of Utror, encompassed by snow-clad mountains and towering bushes. Similarly, the direction to the lake from Ladu is easy to conform with as a huge circular flow down from the lake, which merges with the River Swat in the Kalam valley. It leads beside the flow and takes you to the lake.
On the way, lush, inexperienced forests, picturesque spots, and gushing waterfalls welcome one to the place. The mountains across the lake are protected with the useful resource of a thick blanket of vegetation that complements the beauty of the lake very tons.
Kundol Lake is most effective at some point in the summer season; during the route of the iciness, the roads are closed because of heavy snowfall. It can be accessed through an unmetalled road from Kalam as well as Utror in a 4-wheel vehicle on a highway road resulting in an inexperienced valley known as Ladu in the foothills of the mountain. Earlier, jeeps used to transport till a better village known as Ladu, but now the bridge and jeep tunnel are destroyed because of floods and rains.
