Karakoram Adventure Holidays is one of the most specialized treks in Pakistan, which includes the Rash Phari Trek in the Karakoram.

Rash Phari means sparkling Lake. It is one of the most recommended treks for those who want to have a first-time trekking experience with lifelong excitement.

The journey to Rush Lake is an adventure in itself, typically a challenging 4-5 day round-trip trek starting from the picturesque Hoper Village. The trail winds through lush alpine meadows, terraced fields, and involves navigating the dynamic Bualtar and Miar glaciers, known for their rapid movement.

While arduous, the trek rewards every step with panoramic vistas of some of the world's most formidable peaks, including the iconic Spantik (Golden Peak), Malubiting, Miar Peak, Ultar Sar, and even the distant K2 on a clear day from a viewpoint above the lake.

We walk on glaciers, through villages to a look at the real life of those living at the foot steps of mighty glaciers, along the irrigated terraced fields with the impressive view of the mighty Karakoram Mountains from the summit of Rush Peak (5,098m). It is the junction of two famous glaciers of Barpu and Bualter.

Interestingly, local legends talk about the gender of these glaciers as being male and female, and also about their meetings and the birth of the new glaciers. Our trek starts at Hoper, a marvelous valley with green fields and fruit orchards, which is also famous for its potato seeds, which are exported to other parts of Pakistan, especially in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The best time to embark on this remarkable journey is during the summer months, from June to September, when the weather is mild and the trails are most accessible.

Rush Lake is more than just a destination; it's a testament to the raw, untamed beauty of northern Pakistan, promising a rewarding experience that will last a lifetime.
