Tour to Skardu - Deosai plain

Skardu, the heart of Baltistan, is a region of Pakistan renowned for its dramatic landscapes, where the Karakoram and Himalayan ranges collide. This area, along with the adjacent Astore Valley, offers a breathtaking escape from the ordinary, a place where jagged, snow-capped peaks pierce the sky and ancient cultures thrive.

Skardu town itself serves as the gateway to some of the world's most formidable mountains, including K2, the world's second-highest peak. The journey to Skardu is an adventure in its own right, often involving a spectacular flight past Nanga Parbat, known as the "killer mountain".

Once there, visitors are greeted by sights like the serene Shangrila Resort, famous for its unique pagoda-style restaurant built on the fuselage of a crashed aircraft, and the historic Skardu Fort, perched atop a hill overlooking the confluence of the Indus and Shigar rivers.

Deosai Plains: The Land of Giants and Wildflowers

Nestled in the Western Himalayas of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, the Deosai Plains form the world's second-highest plateau, an awe-inspiring wilderness situated at an average elevation of 4,114 meters (13,497 ft) above sea level. Known to locals as "Ghbiarsa," or "summer's place," the plateau is only accessible for a brief season each year, when the heavy winter snows melt to reveal a breathtaking landscape of lush green meadows, rolling hills, and crystal-clear streams.

The Deosai National Park, established in 1993, spans an area of 843 square kilometers and serves as a critical sanctuary for the endangered Himalayan brown bear. Conservation efforts within the park have helped the bear population stabilize, offering a rare glimpse of these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.
